How we verify

Independent Peptide News is anonymous. That means you cannot judge us by who we are, so you should be able to judge us by whether each claim checks out against the original. These are the rules we follow.

Why there are no names

We publish without names so the focus stays on the sources. Nothing on this site asks you to trust a person. Every statement links to the document it came from, and you can open it yourself. We are not affiliated with any peptide seller, pharmacy, telehealth company or drugmaker, and we take no ads, sponsorship or affiliate money.

What we link to

We link to the original record, not to a summary of it. Each source carries a marker so you can see its kind at a glance.

We never link to sellers, vendor-sponsored “research” or press releases presented as news.

How a record gets in

  1. We open the record at the primary source. We do not rely on a second-hand description of it.
  2. We write what it says in our own words and keep to what it states.
  3. We note anything we found that a reader should know, such as a registry entry that calls itself fictional.
  4. We store the day we opened it. That is the “Verified” date on the Records page.

A record on this site is not an endorsement of what it says. Registry entries are written by sponsors. A registered study is not a result. A patent is not evidence a product works.

What we say when we don’t know

If we could not confirm something, we say so. Each dossier ends with a “Still not covered” section listing what we did not read or could not verify. We do not fill gaps with inference. If a source is silent on a point, the page says it is silent.

How we describe regulatory actions

We separate what a document is from what people say it means. A draft policy is not approval. An advisory panel’s vote is nonbinding. FDA staff and an advisory panel can reach different conclusions, and where they did, the dossier shows both and says which is which.

Dates

“Updated” on a dossier is the last day we changed that page. “Verified” on a record is the day we opened that record. Neither date means the source has not changed since. Check the linked record for the latest version.

What we do not do

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it on the page and add a dated note saying what changed. We do not quietly rewrite. A public way to send corrections is not set up yet. We will add it here and on the About page when it is.

Limits

This is a volunteer project and it can miss things. Coverage is partial: not every peptide has a dossier, and not every record we know of is on the Records page yet. Treat what is here as a starting point for reading the original documents. Nothing here is medical advice.
